Just when you though that your favorite retailer was king of the holiday shopping season... Welcome to #shopsmall Saturday!
Shop Small Saturday happens November 29th. Right after Black Friday. The goal of this day is to enable small business to compete with larger ones for your holiday shopping dollars.
Considering the fact that small business' make up 60-80% of all U.S. jobs I'd say it's not just fun but essential to support them. I mean after all, why pay companies such as Walmart which is reporting 203 BILLION (that's $203,000,000,000) in annual sales but pay their associates just above minimum wage and spend their money internationally when you can shop at the local jewelry or gift shop who invests heavily into your own neighborhood by hiring your neighbors and sponsoring local events?
Not to mention, with companies such as American Express offering incentives to shoppers who make purchases in small business on Small Business Saturday what's not to like?!
